Store 'Hair Bang' in Chinese Largest Internet Shopping Mall 'Taobao'

CFDA Certification Places a Unique Position in Hair Loss Treatment Device Market

 

Seoul, Korea, November 8, 2016 – WONTECH Co., Ltd. (KONEX), a leader in aesthetic laser and energy-based medical devices, today announced that Hair Bang has been listed in Taobao, the largest Internet shopping mall in China. WONTECH has been targeting in the Chinese market as a medical device product used in hospitals until now and plans to launch the home-use hair loss treatment device and actively promote the business to the general consumers in China.

 

Hair Bang is a product of China's export version from Hair Beam, which has been popularized in Korean domestic home shopping. Hair Beam, approved by Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) for the treatment of hair loss, has also completed validation and clinical trials at leading hospitals such as Seoul National University Hospital and Kyungpook National University Hospital. This product uses the scientific principle of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) and diode illuminator. It clinically has proven that when it is used continuously for 18 minutes a day, it grows hair and hair thickly. It is a helmet-shaped product, so it has the advantage of being able to easily wear it on the head and use two hands without any restriction at home or office, the manufacturer said.


Hair Beam is sold through major domestic home shopping channel such as CJ O Shopping, Hyundai Home Shopping, and Lotte Home Shopping. It is expected that the Chinese market with a lot of hair loss population and high preference for Korean medical devices will quickly become a hit product in the market.

Meanwhile, Taobao is an open market operated by the Alibaba Group and is the largest Internet shopping mall in China. And WONTECH will launch a variety of consumer products such as Hifie, a home-use skin lifting device, and Clabiane, a cosmeceutical brand, starting with the launch of Taobao's Hair Bang.
